S450 has been specially developed for tough conditions. The NEMA4X housing with IP67 withstands all weather conditions. All parts that may come into contact with the medium to be measured are made of stainless 316L steel. As a result, the sensor can be used in the pharmaceutical and food industry, but also for measuring aggressive and polluted gas.
Measuring compressed air and gases in explosion-sensitive situations is possible by choosing the ATEX version. Various gases can be measured, such as air, oxygen, argon, CO2, natural gas, hydrogen, methane, etc... In principle, any gas mixture can be measured when the components are known and the composition is constant.
Instrumentation in modern factories must be easy to connect to existing factory automation systems. The S450 flow sensor supports a variety of communication forms, including 4...20mA and pulse output, fieldbus interface for HART, Modbus and M-Bus.
